I, Khim Bunlene, 2023 National President of JCI Cambodia, am delighted to bring Junior Chamber International Cambodia (JCI Cambodia) to the new era for Cambodia. In this momentum of creating empowering youth to take initiation in making positive impacts and become part of the leading global network of young active citizens, I would like to introduce you to JCI Cambodia Official Website.
JCI Cambodia was established in 2010 and led by Mr. CHY Sila our JCI Cambodia Founding President. He brought Junior Chamber International to Cambodia for the purpose of becoming a platform to penetrate the light in Cambodia's young active citizens and guiding them to take initiation for the society. Thanking his proactive step, JCI Cambodia was created and continued to sustainably make impacts over the years.
This 2021 mandate, I am committed to inspire and empower JCI Cambodia to taking the wheel and drive it further than we ever did before. The world technology is ever-evolving and, in this age, I see that JCI Cambodia has farther potential if we enable ourselves to be seen transparently by the world. Hence, to boost our organization onto the national and international stage, I believe that JCI Cambodia must have a strong organizational structure. In light of this, I have determined to foster new legacies that will yield for generations.

We currently have 6 fully affiliated local chapters, which are; JCI Phnom Penh, JCI Chaktomuk, JCI Mekong, JCI Toul Kork, and JCI Chbar Ampov, and 1 provisional chapter, which is JCI Siem Reap. Our official registered members as of this proposal are 304, a diversity of entrepreneurs, young graduates, experts, and active volunteers. Our projects are all SDGs related. We have four areas of development, including individual, community, international, and business. We engage in international events hosted by other JCI organizations around the world annually so our members have the chance to attend not only JCI Cambodia local events but also JCI international events.
HISTORY
JCI Cambodia is a very young organization compared to most other JCI National Organizations around the world and in the Asia Pacific area. However, JCI Cambodia is a very proud and strong National Organization with a great passion for providing positive change to our community. Back in 2008 and 2009, the aim of creating JCI Cambodia was to unite and utilize local business networks in Phnom Penh. The implementations, however, did not turn out as we, the founding members, had expected. We experienced trials and errors in many projects. Soon later, we learned that JCI is not only a place to create business networks alone. We learned that JCI’s strength is with the passion of its like-minded members to learn how to lead and to change to be better.
